About the Author

Ajay Kumar Tamrakar is currently serving Indian Railways as Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer at Bhopal Division of West Central Railway, under the prestigious cadre of Indian Railway’s Services of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME). During his tenure at IISc, his research interests were smart materials, multi–functional composites and multi-body dynamics and he presented several research papers in national and international conferences. Further, he qualified the Combined Engineering Services Examination (CESE) in 2002 based on which he served Central Electricity Authority (Ministry of Power) as Assistant Director. Dinesh Kumar Harursampath is the Founder-Head, Nonlinear Multifunctional Composites Analysis and Design (NMCAD) Lab and has been an aerospace engineering faculty member at IISc, Bangalore since 2001. He is also the visiting professor at TU, Delft, The Netherlands; ENS de Cachan, France; PoliMi and PoliTo, Italy. With over a hundred book chapters and articles in international journals and conference proceedings, his primary research interests are in geometric and material non-linearities as well as evolutionary interaction. He has pioneered multiple collaborative training, research and development projects with counterparts within India, USA, France, Italy and Canada.
